

JANA RAJCOVA is a writer and a documentary photographer.
After completing her studies she worked for several PR and Advertising agencies before joining global carmaker brand as PR Manager and Spokesperson. After almost 10 years living and breathing automobiles she decided to turn her life upside down and follow her passion - photography.
Jana lives in Slovakia. She has a Master's in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism from the University of Westminster, London, UK.
Her work is held in the archive of The International Centre of Photography in New York, as well as various private collections.
She is an editor of the photography website FOTOma.sk, Dokumentmagazin.sk and quarterly magazine Fotonoviny.
She also works as PR Manager of the Month of Photography festival organised by the Central European House of Photography .
Jana is devoted to document those everyday simple yet special moments, as well as moments when we are at the lowest point of our lives. This passion runs throughout her personal work which expands to the coverage of the more contemporary issues in her home country and abroad, such as themes of humanity, religion or the environment and changes to the environment, which she translates into her own experiences. She creates framework for the human to reflect on the consequences of our decisions and actions. She thrives to create a dialogue between her and her subjects while finding new perspectives and provoking critical views to stimulate the thinking of the viewer.
